Chelating Agents

Function:

  • Bind with metal ions or metallic compounds, preventing contamination or discoloration.
  • Improve the efficacy of preservatives and antioxidants and play a crucial role in the stability and
    efficacy of products.

Disodium EDTA (EDTA 2Na) is used in neutral to mildly acidic products, Tetrasodium EDTA(EDTA 4 Na) is recommended for alkaline products
